Sony have long brought us fantastic quality, unique designs and often amazing invention but usually with televisions they opt for the Quality and size market. Perhaps with new upcoming ideas such as OLED televisions and now 3d tv they will be more technology leaders. Take for example the first look at this new sony 3d tv:
Now Personally 3dtv is something which doesnt appeal much apart from for watching a film once a week or so – I mean can you imagine watching the news in 3d?

Now your oldschool televisions all had glass rounded fronts. It was a given because of the tube design that made the whole thing work. But will technology superseed this? will projection and other materials ever render the glass fronted design of the television useless?

With mirror tvs its quite important to the process to remember that the actual tv is not glass fronted. LCD has already replaced this, but combine a bit of clever tech with glass and you can make your own mirror tv! Its basically a best of both scenario – the glass fronted quality found in the heavy tv’s of yesteryear with the hidden and flatscreen aspects of modern tvs.
I am so glad we now have mirror glass fronted tvs!

If your main concern is where to hang your tv, which brackets to get for the mirror flat screen or similar – forget it just get a mirrored television that you can just lean agains the wall.
Its a neat concept I would say although its not the “mirrored tv” we were hoping for, for one its the case thats mirrored not the screen, which is kind of what we are about here at tv mirror.co.uk but nether-the less our review stands pretty much the same as that of stuff.tv who sum it up well in the video below.
Its a nice new tv with a somewhat pointless mirror effect but its got other nice features, solid state drive for record is a nice addition and the new concept of leaning against the wall does split it from the crowd, even if it is still basically a flat screen tv.
